The Southern Dunes Community



Southern Dunes is located on US HWY 27, approx 20 minutes from all the major Disney Parks, and near to attractions such as Bok Tower Gardens and Fantasy of Flight. Approximately 60 mins from the coast. Southern Dunes is also conveniently located only 40 mins from Orlando International Airport.

It is a well established gated community with villas surrounding the golf course. It has 24hr security at the gate house making it a safe and secure place for all to stay.

The Golf clubhouse is open to the public, serving breakfast and lunch daily and is renowned for their Sunday Buffet breakfast. The bar is open for drinks in the evening.

On site there are 3 community swimming pools of which one is Olympic size if you feel like a marathon swim. Public tennis courts are free to use as is the small gym and the children’s playground. The fishing lake is near by.

Just outside Southern Dunes within walking distance is a 24hr Super Wal-Mart, local bank, Wynn-Dixie store and Dollar Tree. Across the main road are more stores like Dairy Queen, Burger King, Checker's, Walgreen's and a Blockbuster video store where you can hire Video’s and DVD’s. There are very good local restaurants Manny’s Chophouse, T-B0nes,Sonny’s BBQ Pit, Fish and Chinese restaurants.

For added convenience you'll find a Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken , to name but a few of the fast food outlets right outside the entrance to Southern Dunes.
For complete peace of mind, there's a brand new Hospital and A & E Departments located just an easy 5 minute drive away.

15 minutes south on Highway 27, a major new shopping mall called Eagle Ridge has opened with a fantastic selection of goods to suit everyones taste. If fishing is your scene, fine bass fishing is only 20 minutes away and we can recommend an excellent guide. The boat,tackle and bait can be provided if required..

The Southern Dunes Golf Course

Opened in 1993, Southern Dunes is an upscale daily fee course that continues to receive numerous awards from the golf industry. The charm and appeal of the club, comes from the friendly staff and unique characteristics of the course. It is a public course and open to all guests that stay on the community.

The course offers players of all abilities the opportunity to play and enjoy one of the most challenging and beautiful courses in Central Florida.

This dramatic hillside layout stretches to over 7,200 yards and features 100ft. of elevation changes, not typically found in Central Florida.

Five sets of tees welcome golfers of all skill levels to enjoy risk/reward opportunities, through extensive mounding and strategically placed bunkers. The design is enhanced by the well maintained playing surfaces.
